Toddlers are tough to photograph!

Those of you who take alot of photos of your kids know as well as us photographers do how hard it can be to take photos of 1-2yr. olds. This is acutally an old session but just cracks me up everytime I look at it. As I was cleaning out my computer and saw this again I knew I had to post it since I did not have a blog back then. The one on the bridge is not posed at all. The girls sat there waiting and waiting for sis to come sit with them, which she would not. Just kept running and running. They were simply sitting there watching her and I captured this moment. So the little sis was such a busy one and ended up getting into the pond in her pretty dress. (dang! camera was put away..we were done with the shoot) but then she takes off her dress and starts truckin to the parking lot "oh I've got to get this one" Being a model is such hard work! Lesson learned.. never put the camera away until your clients are gone. You never know what kind of shots you might miss.

My poor kids are getting tired of me dragging them around when I need to get their updated pictures. This time of the year is just great with the colors and beautiful lighting. This first one of C is funny b/c you can tell what he really thinks about this whole deal. Sick of it! I really was just out looking at a location that I haven't been to forever for an upcoming shoot so thought I'd drag them along for some pics.
I'm always looking for new fun locations/backdrops so if any of you are out and about and see anything unique or a cool locations then give me a holler and let me know about it! 3 more weeks of school then my baby is no longer a kindergardener. Crazy how fast it goes. I might have empty nest syndrome next fall.... then again maybe not.

Busy with different things lately..

I really enjoy the variety of different things that I get the opportunity to do with my job. I've been busy with headshots lately for different companies and would love to do more so pass the word on and give me a call !!

The good things..

I just love this time of the year when the weather starts to turn and the kids are excited to play outside again. They can spend hours out there exploring and digging in dirt and collecting things. Just reminds you how precious kids are with their curiosity and pure joy for simple things. Cameron's favorite thing to do is play in the dirt with dinos. Sandbox is finally ready to go again so his imagination just goes and goes.

Aubrey decided to collect bugs today which surprised me. I thought she did not like them. So of cours I had to get out the camera and spy on her as she was admiring her catch. She has been taking good care of them tonight. I'm excited for summer fun! (well maybe I shouldn't get to excited yet b/c soon I will be pulling my hair out wanting them back in school)
