Finally, updated photos of my kids!

Some quick photos of my kiddos to send to the Grandparents for xmas. My plan was to have a family photo shoot but you know how that goes... busy, busy. So this year I'm going to send out fun little Happy New Year cards.

3rd time is a charm!

3rd time is a charm because we have had to cancel the session 2 other times due to weather. So I was so happy to finally meet this super sweet family and photograph little Miss Kadee who is such a doll. She didn't make it through our 2nd location but she was a perfect little model in the beginning and so these are some the super cute photos she allowed me to take of her...

Meet The Karr Family

What a fun and beautiful family! I had a great time with this family. They really were relaxed and knew what kind of portraits they wanted so they weren't afraid to just have fun and show the love and connection that they all share.
Took while for Mr. serious big bro to show that great smile of his so I love the one of him in mom's legs and the expression on his face.

Looking forward to photographing a senior today so stay tuned for that.

More Class of 2009

Meet Raquel. Great style, gorgeous eyes, beautiful smile, fun personality! She took the time before hand to go around town and pick each spot that she wanted to go to which I love b/c it shows her personality and it ends up being about her and not about what I want to do. Some of my favorite places!
I do have to say the slide was my idea and this is one of my all time fav shots of a senior! Love the way the slide frames her, beautiful light, a beautiful serious look on her face yet the slide is innocent and playful. LOVE IT.
Thanks Raquel. You were so cute and I hope you had fun.

Take a look at these eyes..

Here are two of the cutest little peanuts!! These two have the most beautiful eyes. I have a thing for eyes. I could shoot photos all day when I come across little eyes that just pull at me. What a fun session. This little gal had the best laugh I have heard in a long time. Brother didn't make it to long before getting fussy and wanting to sleep so thankgoodness we got these ones before he hit the wall. Actually the first photo here is after he fell asleep and dad bounced and tickled him until he woke up for one last try for family photos. He was a happy dude for a small moment after waking him up. Poor guy.
I love our little game peek of boo with the little Miss and her peaking out of the rocks.

Sooo.. on another note. This today and Sat. I will be setting up camp at a Fall Gift festival held at Austin Tile and Design Studio which is right on Empire down by the Sports Center. So come by and say hello and check out all the local vendors. And guess what? I'm giving away 2 FREE rounds of Golf for the first 7 people who buy gift certificates. I figure there should finally be an incentive for Dad to get in on the whole picture taking deal. Not their most favorite thing to do. Stop on by!!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT!!

that is the interactions between parents and their kiddos! To me these shots are perfection! Not as in I took a good photo but the interaction here is it for me! This is what I would love to see with all of my clients but alot of times people have a hard time opening up in front of the camera and just being themselves. If you want these types of memories you have just do what you love to do with your kids...love them, snuzzle them, zerbert them, be goofy (I don't want to be the only one being goofy during a session!)

Meet Miss Emily~Class of 2009

I can't say enough about how much fun I had on this shoot. Emily was a blast! So funny, confident and charming. I think it is just amazing when I see young kids who just shine with their personalities. I think it is every parents dream to raise confident wonderful kids and when I see the interactions between the parents and the kids during these senior sessions it really touches me and I can only hope that I can do just as good of a job with my own kids. So kudos to you and your husband Kristy on such a wonderful parenting job!
OK THEN....the last photo is an inside joke that I just had to do for Miss Emily!! Enjoy~~

Who doesn't love a little red head?

I just had to post these right away just b/c of the pure cuteness of this little girl. There is just something about little red headed girls that we all love. Especially little red heads surrounded by hot pink and green..what amazing colors!

Little Miss Holly Hobbie

Isn't she sweetness? She reminds me of Holly Hobby or Laura from little house on the prarie with her little dress. This point of this session was to get photos in this dress that her Mom and Auntie wore when they were little girls this age. So next will be little sister. Grandma is going to be so thrilled!

The boys!

Boys..boys..boys! I just realized I don't get many boys! Most of my sessions are with little girls. hmmm..
These little men were just ham"n in up at the beginning with their posing. Buttt..boys will be boys and boys want to play! Big bro really just wanted to go to football practice not take photos. Poor little guy. They do have a hard time understanding why I keep shooting and shooting and can't stop. I really can't imagine what it feels like to them. "why is she not done after 3 or 4 pictures?"

Oh..Mom here is Jill with www.toppingthecake.net
Fabulous cakes by the way.
LOVE the family photo with mom & dad off in the back. I didn't have to tell the boys anything. They just came together this way.
All though they look great in color I'm in the mood for some B&W photos. I've been so into bright fun colors lately so just felt like showing some in B&W.
Enjoy the peak!
